Atomic Web Browser Goes 4.0: Adds Video Output, New Gesture, And Plenty More - App Advice
As the mobile web browser wars rage on, developers need to continue improving and adding features to not only win over Safari uses but their competition. Atomic Web Browser already contained some of the most sought after features like tabs, full screen mode, and in-page searching, but what else does RichTech's offering provide?
Some of the highlighted features of Atomic Web Browser include the ability to use multitouch gestures for navigation, change browser identification, view page source, ad-blocking, save a copy of a web page, share a URL via social-network or email, screen orientation lock, privacy mode, and auto-fill.
General additions in Atomic Web Browser v4.0 contain video output, web page compression using Google Mobilizer integration, saving web pages now supports PDFs, and a newly assignable gesture: shake.
This latest release now allows assigning Find in Page / Search Engines, Enter URL, Close all tabs, Share Link through Facebook, Share Link through Twitter, and Share Link through Email actions to a gesture or made available as a button in full screen mode.
When it comes to URL entry, some additional features can become overbearing and tiresome if not used frequently. In this case, RichTech now allows the option to enable or disable URL suggestions, automatic appending a .com or other suffix to incomplete addresses, and an automatic clear of the address bar when tapped on.
The maintenance fixes in this update are comprised of corrections to links not loading on iGoogle News gadget, periodic crash crash when images were turned off, and a possible display issue when rotation lock was enabled.
